Notes: I'm drawing heavily from Wuxia and magical girl stuff as inspiration-Sarah's concept is more or less "veteran kung fu magical girl with PTSD issues". Expect kung fu, fancy titles, and things not necessarily turing out happy in the end. Supernatural kung fu has intersected with mecha before; see Giant Robo and G Gundam. The account name for Sarah's a reference to that, since her powers are a lot like what you'd get from a female version of Alberto The Shockwave.

Background: (some number larger than 10, yet smaller than 20) years ago, the Dark Empire from the Nightlands surged forth in an attempt to take over the earth! They were stopped in their conquest by two brave young girls, each possessing supernatural powers and a powerful robot, built thousands of years ago to help protect against the Dark Empire. These girls were aided in their battle by a massive secret organization, the Knights of The Guiding Hand, who helped keep their identities secret and warn them of impending attacks.

Sarah was one of those two.

Things didn't work out like they usually do in cartoons; Neither Sarah nor her partner could "purify" people turned into monsters by the Dark Empire, only kill them-and most of them retained enough humanity to raise some ethical questions about the whole affair. At the end of it all, Sarah's partner, [insert chinese name], The Dawn Star, was corrupted by darkness and had to be...dealt with. Sarah did it, and saved the world.

Some of this is public knowledge, but not the important parts. It's known that [#of years] ago there were monsters attacking the world, and two super robots-one red, one blue-fought them, off, but not who piloted them, how old they were, or what their final fates were. As far as the world is concerned, the superheroic robots and their pilots beat evil and retired, everyone living happily ever after. Common media accounts even got the name of the robots wrong-since neither Sarah nor her partner went public, people made up their own nicknames, "Maverick Firestorm" and "Tsunami Desperado".

Anyways, that was when Sarah met Percy. He was an ally in battle and a confidant outside of it. The two fell in love, were married-all that happily ever after kind of stuff.

It didn't last forever; Percy's bosses started exerting more and more control over him and Sarah wound up dropping out of school after they had their child a good bit earlier than either intended. Percy also tried to get her to join the Knights, which she wasn't having any of, and over time they drifted apart and divorced.

So this brings us to the present, where Sarah's a superhuman with a strong super robot and a small child she has joint custody of. She has no particular desire to get involved in heroics, but then she gets a call from Percy, asking for her help with an extremely dangerous foe...

Personality: Sarah spent a good three years having the fate of the world on her shoulders when she was a teenager, and she's still tired from that. Not extremely bitter or sad, just...tired. Right now she'd rather spend time with her son or just chilling than get involved in world-saving.

Sarah's a pretty serious, determined type, though she's not completely without humor. It's just that by the standards of Judau Ashta and Kouji Kabuto and friends she's a hella boring stick in the mud. When compared up against the Knights-notably Percy-she's got more of a sense of humor and a higher chance of sarcasm.

Sarah's got an extremely strong sense of justice, and isn't the sort of person to let a disaster happen just because she's "retired". The mission to kill Volya isn't the sort of thing she likes, it feels too much like being an assassin-but she'll do it if she has to in order to keep the world safe. She will, however, be very...chivalrous, almost. She wouldn't kill him if she met him randomly on the street, for instance, and she'd do her best to make sure there's no civilians around. She'd even try her damnedest to avoid hurting his allies, because Volya is the only one that matters, and because taking human life isn't something she likes to do.

Capabilities and Resources: The sidereal tapestry described Sarah as someone with the heart of a star, and that is not metaphorical. Her powers come from being the reincarnation of a great hero from the past, or something-it's not too important. The function is. These abilities can be considered to have the "Chi" power source modifier if we're working from GURPS rules. They're reliant on physical health, stamina, and willpower.
Durabiity/Healing Factor: Sarah's way tougher than a human has any right to be. She can't regrow or reattach limbs, but it'll take an excessive amount of damage to actually kill her. Similarly, she heals very quickly, and can sleep off things like a stab wound. This is classic movie/manga durability-think Jotaro Kujo level resistance to dying.

Strength: Sarah's also, like, hella strong dood. Leaping across rooftops is no trouble for her, nor is lifting anything short of a small car. Between this, the durability, and her heat powers, she can tear apart a GM with her bare hands and can fight against powered armor enemies quite well. However, two mook 20m scale robots is a seriously dangerous fight, so she's better off fighting them with Tiankui.

Lightfoot/Speed: Her ability to balance is ridiculous as well, so you can expect her to pull off that whole "standing on a telephone pole/streetlamp/other high thing" stunt easily. She can't walk up walls or ceilings or on water, but she could run a good distance on any of those surfaces. She's fast as hell on foot too, since super-strength doesn't apply to just her arms, and her jump distance is pretty extreme as well.

Heat Powers: Sarah can produce and emanate heat from her body in extreme amounts-it's very easy for her to get her hands hot enough to melt steel. Her control over this power is not great, as it generally boils down to "power" or "more power", but it makes for some really nasty melee attacks. Somehow, this can never burn more of her wardrobe than her suit jacket. Poor control means that often times dry items around where she's fighting will catch fire if she goes all out; just being around 1,300 degree heat is extremely dangerous, even if she's not touching you. She can't shoot energy blasts or anything, it's just melee strikes.

Sarah's fighting style is a hard combat approach with a lot of quick strikes, either kicks, punches, or elbow and knee strikes. It's very agressive and not super technical; her approach is generally to just pound something into the dirt before it gets to respond. In the non-superpower but still notable realm, if she closes her eyes and focuses she can detect invisible foes through other means, like sound, body heat, changes in the air flow...it's not perfect but it's useful.

She can make a mean cocktail, too.

Robot Name: Maverick Firestorm  The Red Relic Armor-Tiankui, Protector of Justice
Pixiv Danbooru #1
Robot Description
A fairly standard humanoid super robot, clocking in at 18m. It's quick on their feet, similar to a mobile suit. In place of normal manuevering verniers it has vents that Sarah can focus her heat powers through; using these takes effort, though not a lot of it, so they're best used sparingly. Tiankui is amazingly durable, to the point that [number of years] years ago it and Tsunami Desperado were immune to pretty much anything short of a nuclear weapon. Times have changed, so it's only really tough now.

It's key gimmick is the manipulation of the pilot's internal energy (Qi/Ki/whatever you want to call it), making the robot highly reliant on willpower and physical constitution. Basically, it kicks up Sarah's power levels to be capable of fighting grunt mecha as easily as she fights Shocker (or equivalent group) grunts with her bare hands. It's far more durable in comparison to mecha weapons than she is on foot, too. In terms of SRW machines, it's most similar to Coutsewell. Fast, melee-focused, and tough.

The Relic Armors do not have a cockpit, as such-rather, the pilot fuses with the machine itself in a flashy cool transformation sequence. This means 1) no cockpit hits to kill them super easily, but 2) the pilot feels pain when their mecha takes damage, and crippling injuries to the mecha will leave the pilots in the hospital.

While Sarah can't use her heat powers for ranged attacks on her own, in Tiankui she can focus her spirit into a destructive, firey laser beam of death. This is strictly a finishing move-think like the Kamehameha from DBZ, or the Breast Burn from Mazinger. It's very tiring and putting too much power into it will hurt her.

The other finisher, which has similar restrictions on its use, is for her to focus a similarly large amount of energy through the vents on the back of Tiankui, and turn the robot into an impromptu missile. This makes for some rather extreme kicks.

Upgrades:
Shishenli, or perhaps more easily The Glory Of Ten Powers/Ten Powers, is Sarah's sword from the war against the Dark Empire. It's a Jian, and is meant for human hands, not mecha ones-it's no larger than any normal sword. Though that's a weird thing to say-see the end of this explanation.

This sword is expressly and obviously magical. First off it's about as indestructible as you can get, which is good, since it's more or less impossible to repair. The sword is also extremely sharp, and can be used as a focus for the wielder's Ki to make it even more sharp-in the hands of someone like Sarah, it operates as good if not better than a beam saber. With someone like Sarah (or alberto the shockwave, or Taiso the magical traveler), it can also be used for projectile attacks, either slices of energy or stabs.

As good as it is as a sword, Ten Powers' real ability is the power to protect. It can project a large, dome-like energy barrier, shielding the wielder and allies from harm. This shield is durable as all hell, and can be used without drawing the sword.

Ten Powers has a will and mind of its own, and can see and hear though it cannot communicate back in kind (or doesn't want to). It has a lock on its sheathe, and the sword will not knowingly allow itself to be drawn for an unjust cause-cutting down children, fighting good people, etc. It is not omniscient, and can be misled or lack complete information-if it accidentally is used to kill innocent people or do morally questionable things, you can expect the sword to become depressed and lock itself up until it is talked down. As an example, Ten Powers would refuse to allow itself to be drawn against human militaries, until the military involved starts racking up an atrocity count.

While Ten Powers insists on a fairly high standard of certainty before it allows itself to be used as a sword, it is very free and giving with its powers as an energy-shield producer.

What makes Ten Powers even more obviously magical is that whoever has it as their personal weapon gets it equipped on their mecha or powered armor, sized to fit, for free. So when Sarah gets it, she can use it on foot, then summon Tianxui, then use the same sword-sized up-over there. It can't be easily traded between mecha though, and Ten Powers is somewhat picky about accepting new users.
